Moonshine

What is Moonshine?

Moonshine is a homemade brew of alcohol produced in a still. It is known to be produced at night, hence the name "moonshine". This sneaky method of producing alcohol is known for having a strong history of being brewed in the southeastern U.S states but is made elsewhere too.

Moonshine and the Prohibition?

Moonshine was produced for years before the Prohibition, yet it was only a local business. Once the 18th Amendment was passed, the demand for Moonshine skyrocketed. Moonshiners made a fortune from sales and it soon became a nation wide business. Believe it or not, the Prohibition was the best thing Moonshiners could have asked for.
